Introduction

Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 2 cups poha (flattened rice)

  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)

  • 1–2 green chilies (slit or chopped)

  • 1 medium potato (peeled & diced – optional)

  • 8–10 curry leaves

  • ½ tsp mustard seeds

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp peanuts (optional, roasted)

  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped, for garnish)


Method (Step by Step)Poha Recipe

  1. Prepare Poha

    • Poha ko ek strainer me daal kar achhe se dhoyein.

    • 2–3 minute ke liye strain hone dein taki extra water nikal jaye.

    • Halka soft hona chahiye, mushy nahi.

  2. Cook Base

    • Ek pan me oil garam karein.

    • Mustard seeds daalein, jab crackle ho jaye tab cumin seeds aur curry leaves daalein.

    • Ab onion aur green chili daalkar halka golden hone tak bhun lein.

    • Potato use kar rahe ho to abhi add karke cook kar lo.

  3. Add Spices

    • Ab turmeric powder daalein aur 1 min bhun lein.

    • Salt add karein.

  4. Add Poha

    • Softened poha add karein aur achhi tarah mix karein.

    • 2–3 minute tak medium flame pe cook karein.

  5. Finishing Touch

    • Lemon juice squeeze karein.

    • Roasted peanuts aur chopped coriander daal kar mix karein.
